Lynn Allen "Butch" Thomas, 81, of Saint Elmo, Illinois, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL.
A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, May 17, 2024, at Unity Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Pete LeDuc officiating. Memorials: To the family. He was born December 13, 1942, in Oreana, IL, the son of Herbert Moss & Frances Georgine (Lambert) Thomas. He married Doris Delain Feezel on February 29, 1964, in Stonington, IL. He worked for Crane Packing for 31 1/2 years; was a Park Ranger, EMT, and a member of Temple Baptist Church.
He is survived by: Daughters - Becky Emerick & Keith, Brownstown, IL, Tammy Brooks, Brownstown, IL, and Pamela Thomas & David Hughes, Lonedell, MO; Grandchildren - Cassandra, Victoria, Amber, Courtney, Katie, and Patrick; Great Grandchildren - Whitnie, Brianna, Javeon, Kamden, Layla, and Everly; Brother - Clint Thomas, St. Peter, IL; and Sisters - Carol Bales, Colfax, IL and Loretta Meseke, St. Peter, IL.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Wife; Brothers - Dale, Gene, Dean and Delbert Thomas; and Sisters - Florance, Shirley, Velma, and Glendora.
