Lyle E. Elam, 90, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, at Fayette Co. Hospital, Vandalia, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 14, 2018, at McInturff Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, with Rev. Joe Lawson, officiating. Military Rites will be held at the Cemetery. Friends and family may gather at the cemetery at 10:30 AM. Memorials: McInturff Cemetery and/or Donor's Choice.

He was born May 9, 1928, in Blue Mound, IL, the son of Alfred & Eathel (Neathery) Elam. Married Doris M. Wright on December 3, 1954, Hagarstown, IL. He was a molder at Brockway, Vandalia; Member of Crown Point Church, Rural Vandalia and US Army Veteran - Korea.

He is survived by: Wife - Doris Elam, Vandalia, IL; Brothers - Donny Elam, Greenville, IL and Dean Elam, Vandalia, IL; Sisters - Lila Fredrichs, Swansea, IL and Lula Bell Breuchaud, Greenville, IL.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Brothers - Lloyd, Floyd & Robert; and Sisters - Fairy & 2 Infants.
