Lula Mae "Lou" Forbis, 85, of Vandalia, IL, died on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Fayette Co. Hospital, LTC in Vandalia, IL. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL with Rev. Dan Rush officiating. Burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery, in rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (2 hours before the Service), Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: To The Family. Lou was born on January 1, 1927, in Mobile, AL, the daughter of Phillip and Silverine (Rosson) Moiren. She married Kenneth Dale Forbis on, February, 28, 1953 in Chicago, IL. Ken passed away on July 22, 2010. Lou was a retired bartender at the VFW, Vandalia, IL and a member of Ladies of the Moose & VFW Ladies Auxiliary, both of Vandalia, IL. She is survived by Son: Bobby Forbis & Paula, Vandalia, IL; Daughters: Shirley Forbis, Vandalia, IL & Vivian Walker & Roger, Charleston, IL; 4 Grandchildren: Jacy Fulk, Eric & Kirk Forbis & Sean Walker; 6 Great Grandchildren: Dalton Goldsboro, Drake Thompson, Morgan Briggs, Abbey, Gatlin & Braydon Forbis; 1 Great Great Grandchild: Bentley Briggs. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 3 Brothers: Toby, Arthur & Phillip & 2 Sisters: Lillian & Josephine.
