Memorial Mass will be held at 8:00 AM, Sunday, March 24, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ramsey, IL. Private burial will be at a later date in Mathias Cemetery, in Rural Ramsey, IL. She was born on February 18, 1920, in Ramsey, IL, the daughter of Samuel Jesse and Lula Eleanor (Feldpouch) Hooker. She married Salvatore "Sam" Messina on June 30, 1946, in Chicago, IL. He passed away on December 31, 2010. Lula was a former employee for Fleet Tool & Dye Co., Schiller Park, IL., and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ramsey, IL. She is survived by: Son, Daniel J. Daniels and Penny, Ramsey, IL; Daughter, Mary Elaine Pettersen, Milwaukee, WI.; 6 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband, Salvatore "Sam" Messina; Brother, Eldon Hooker; Sisters, Bessie Graziano and Elsie Hall; and 1 Great Grand Child, Zachary Miller.
