Lucille Doolen, 97, of Vandalia, IL, died on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Fayette County Hospital SCU in Vandalia, IL. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL with Dr. Roger Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, in Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM (Before the Service), Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL. Lucille was born on May 15, 1915, in Shobonier, IL "Stringtown area", the daughter of John and Pearl Emma (Zimmerman) Frisby. She married Wilbur Laymon Doolen on December 20, 1934 in Vincennes, IN. Wilbur passed away on July 28, 1992. Lucille was a Homemaker, a beloved baby sitter, a member of First United Methodist Church & United Methodist Women, Vandalia, IL. She is survived by Son: Gary Doolen, Vandalia, IL & their Special Friend, Darlene Greenwood, Springfield, IL. Sister In-law: Edna May Frisby. Nieces: Sandra Murphy McCool, Nancy Frisby Crites, Becky Frisby Zimmerman, Barb Frisby Ruble. Several Great Nephews & Nieces and many friends. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Brother, Harold "Bus" Frisby. Sister, Nellie Murphy. Nephews: Larry Murphy, Dallas Frisby. Niece: Sharon Murphy Carr
