Linda Marie (Sarver) Miller 73, of Herrick, died June 21, 2019, at her home, surrounded by her family.

A family memorial service celebrating her life will be scheduled at a later date. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Oct. 30, 1945, in Herrick, the daughter of Otis Sumner Sarver and Inez Marie (Ruff) Sarver Manuel.She married John Thomas Miller on Aug, 3, 1963, in Ramsey. He survives, along with a son, Michael (Trish) Miller of Herrick, and three grandsons, A.J. Miller, Taylor Miller and Nicholas Miller, all of Herrick.

Also surviving are a brother, Dennis Sarver of Maricopa, AZ; Daniel Gochez of Spain, who was like a son after living with the family as a foreign exchange student; special friends Nathan, Kelli, Chloe and Kylie Prevo of Olney; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Elver "Spud" Manuel; three brothers, Darrel Sarver, Jerry "Gene" Sarver and James "Jim" Sarver; and a sister, Marilyn (Sarver) Koetz.

Linda was a graduate of Herrick High School and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ramsey.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and sister, and her large, close-knit family, her many friends and her home were the love of her life. She never met a stranger or had an unkind word to say, and had a rare knack for making every one of the countless people who loved her feel special.
