Linda Marie Fish Richards, 65, of Bloomington, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Heartland Healthcare in Normal. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2014, at Mount Carmel Church, RFD Ramsey. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL, and 1 hr prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Rural Ramsey, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cheyenne Marie Owens Education Fund, c/o Chase Bank. Linda was born on April 4, 1949 in Bloomington, the daughter of George Glenn and Verba Viola Hill Fish. Survivors include a daughter, Alecia Marie (Phillip Rashaud Owens) Fish of Corona, CA; one granddaughter, Cheyenne Marie Owens; 2 sisters, Surena Fish of Bloomington and Judy (Tim) Haney of Normal; one brother, George Glenn Fish, Jr. of Bloomington; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many friends that she considered extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Linda was a 1967 graduate of Bloomington High School. She was a regional underwriter for CNA Insurance, where she was a recipient of the Care Award. Linda retired to Illinois after 25 years with the company. She was currently the administrative assistant for Midwest Fiber, where she had been for over ten years. Linda's door was always open and she always had a pot of coffee on. She was a "mom" to many of her daughter's friends and has remained close to them even today. Linda had a love for all things purple and pig figurines and if you brought her either, you would have a friend for life. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful care that Linda received at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington and Heartland Healthcare in Normal.
