Linda Lou Ashdown, 79, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at SBL Fayette County Hospital, LTC in Vandalia, IL.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Bethel Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Joe Lawson and Dr. Ben Foxworth officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from10:00AM to 11:00AM on Saturday at Bethel Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL. She was born November 18, 1942, in Anna, IL, the daughter of Waymond R. & Wanda M. (Lynn) Dillow. Linda married Larry Willard Ashdown on April 15, 1961, in Carterville, IL, he passed away on October 20, 1995. She was a homemaker and worked at Brockway for 15 years; and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL. Linda enjoyed walking at the Vandalia YMCA Family Center and Vandalia City Park walking trail; and playing games with her family.

She is survived by: Daughter - Sandra Cearlock & Joe, Vandalia, IL;

Dau-in-law - Tina Ashdown, Carson City, NV; Grandchildren - Jamie Cearlock & Fiancé Jay Oakes, Lacie Donaldson & Travis and Derek and Todd Ashdown; Kiley Depew & Shane, Brandi Gathe & Clayton; Great Grandchildren - Avery, Addey, Andrew, Audrey, Chandler, Briley, Kohnor, Moriah, Skylar and Payton.
