Lila M. Shipley, 93, of Hillsboro, IL, formerly of Fillmore, IL died on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab Center. in Hillsboro, IL. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, February 05, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, Fillmore, IL with Rev. Houston Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Noffsinger Cemetery, in Rural Mulberry Grove, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, February 04, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, Fillmore, IL. Memorials: Fillmore Baptist Church. She was born on February 25, 1919, in Bond Co., IL the daughter of Asa M and Cora E. (Roe) Mason. Lila married Maurice L. Walker June 11, 1936, in Vandalia, IL, he passed away Jan. 14, 1937, she later married Lloyd Shipley August 05, 1939, in St. Louis, Mo. Lila & Lloyd were married for over 73 years. She was a Homemaker, a member of Fillmore Baptist Church, was very active in Bible School and loved to cook and bake sharing recipes and homemade goodies with friends and neighbors. Lila also enjoyed playing the wash-board in the "Kitchen Band" She is survived by husband, Lloyd Shipley, Hillsboro, IL; Son, Joe Baugh, Bingham, IL; Daughter: Jessie Ward and Bob, Vandalia, IL; Daughter In-law, Marcia Walker, St. Charles, MO; 6 Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren and Several Great Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by Parents; Step Parents, Gerald & Edith Toberman; First Husband and Son, Maurice Walker.
