Larry D. Whitten, 67, of Godfrey, IL, formerly of Bingham & Fillmore, IL area, died on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 2, 2011, at Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore, IL with Rev. Ernest Flowers officiating. Friends and Family may gather at the Cemetery at 10:45AM. He was born on April 19, 1944, in Bingham, IL, the son of Jesse Van and Georgia Mae (Naylor) Whitten. Larry was a retired electrician for Emerson Electric, St. Louis, MO, a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Alton, IL and an U.S. Air Force veteran. He is survived by 2 Daughters: Lora Whitten and Becky, Jamesville, WI and Karin Schichtel & Kurt, Portage, MI; 1 Brother: Robert Whitten, East Alton, IL; 1 Sister:Beverly Thompson & Robert, Pekin, IL; 2 Grandchildren.
