Kenneth "Kenny" L. Smith, 69, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019, Barnes Medical Center, St. Louis, MO.

In keeping with Kenny's wishes, cremation rites were accorded. Graveside Services and Interment will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday November 16, 2019 in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. IL., with Pastor Victor Votaw officiating.Friends and Family may gather at the cemetery or join the funeral procession leaving at 10:15 fromthe Funeral Home. Memorials: Fayette County Cancer Fund, Vandalia, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. He was born December 30, 1949, in Vandalia, IL, the son of John Lee Smith & Betty Jeane (Davidson) Slater. He was a retired employee of Illinois Department of Corrections, Vandalia, IL and also worked at Andy's Cafe and Deverick Printing, both in Vandalia, IL. Kenny was a avid antique and muscle car buff and loved his pets.

He is survived by: Daughter - Vicky Dunn & Stephen, Belleville, IL; Grandchildren - Christopher Dunn & Emily Dunn of Belleville, IL; Uncle - Joe Smith, TX and Aunt - Donna Smith, VA; Caregivers - Tori Bunker & Bill; and Sweetbriar Family.
