Rev. Kenneth Dean Hall, 88, went to Heaven on Thursday, December 16, 2021. He was born in Vera, IL to Dean and Ethel Hall on April 8, 1933. He married Betty Elaine Roe on May 4, 1952. Pastor Hall is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty of Greenville IL, sisters Norma Lou Ledbetter (Boyd) of Vandalia IL, Anita Campbell of Shelbyville, IL, brothers Gail Hall (Darla) of Vandalia IL and Charlie Hall (Yvette) of Mulberry Grove IL. Four sons Larry Hall (Teri Lee) of Rochester, MN, Terry Hall, (Dorothy) of Bridgehampton, NY, Stanley Hall (Barbara) of Peru, IN, Richard Hall (Cindy) of Zionsville IN: 11 grandchildren, Amber Blanchard (Nate), Kelly Zakariasen (Troy), Crystal Lawton (Pete), Carolyn Crane (Brandon), Rod Hall (Linda), Trevor Hall, Mercedes Jacobs (Clayton), Ruth Smith (Allen), Adam Hall (Amy), Chelsea Biddle (Shawn) and Sarah Hall: 26 great grandchildren, Ryan, Jase, Sadie, Samuel (Martha), Ilie, Abraham, Siri, Isaiah, Asher, Benaiah, Thomas, Ezekiel, Cooper, Tenley, Sawyer, Logan, Felix, Charlotte Betty-Ken, Lamar, Summer, Skylar, Eric, Corina, Charlie, Lisbeth and Theodore.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronald and brother-in-law Dwight Campbell.
Kenny graduated from Vandalia High School, Oakland City College and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was ordained to the ministry April 22, 1951. He pastored churches in Mt. Tabor in Bond County, Vera IL, Grayville, IL, Mt. Erie IL, Rochester MN, Cahokia IL, Carmi IL, Mulberry Grove, St. Elmo and at Liberty Baptist Church in Bond County IL. He was faithful to his ministerial calling for sixty-four years!
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Bethel Baptist Church, Vandalia IL. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am. Facial coverings will be required. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Vera Illinois. Memorials may be made to Union Cemetery. Miller Funeral Homes of Vandalia is handling the arrangements.
