Joni Thea Withers, age 68, of Centralia, IL, passed away Monday May, 11, 2026 at the Fireside House in Centralia, IL.

Joni was born June 7, 1957 in Vandalia, IL the daughter of Roger Z. "Rod" Withers and Beverly Jean (Hall) Chapman. Joni was a gifted artist and loved animals, especially her cats.

She is survived by her step-father; John C. Chapman of Littleton, CO, her brothers; Mitchell M. (Jamie) Withers of Marion, IL, David A. Withers of Melbourne, FL, Steve P. Withers of Jacksonville, FL, and Joe W. (Julie) Withers of Vandalia, IL, and her sister; Julie Kay Vincent of Littleton, CO.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Beverly.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia, IL, officiated by Pastor Joe Lawson. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM also at the funeral home. The burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery in Vandalia, IL. Memorial donations can be made out to Second Chance Animal Rescue or the Fayette County Animal Control. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL is in charge of arrangements.
