John Charles Hampson, Sr., age 77, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026. He was born on May 12, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, to John and Dorothy (Magalinski) Hampson.

John married Ann Marie Shimkus on October 2, 1979. John proudly served his country in the United States Army for several years. He worked as a dry wall contractor. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and tinkering with motorcycles. He enjoyed collecting coins and especially loved his family.

Mr. Hampson is survived by his wife; Ann Hampson of Ramsey, IL, children; John (Teresa) Hampson, Jr. of Long Island, NY, Eric (Arin) Hampson of Long Island, NY, Janet (Aaron) Keith of Coxs Creek, KY, and Chuck Hampson of Ramsey, IL, grandchildren; Luke, Brody, Emily, Lauren, Shane, Kayla, Jonathan, Olyvia; great grandchildren; Zaylynn, Zairen, Kayzlee, Kaiden, brothers; Joseph Hampson of Florida and David Hampson, Sr. of Arizona, and sister; Mary Ann Moss of Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Alice Bodnar, and brother; Charles Hampson, and best friend who was like a brother; Michael Pavlikovic.
