John E. Adermann, 91, of Vandalia, IL, formerly of Ramsey, IL, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at SBL Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ramsey, IL with Father Seth Brown officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the church. He was born February 18, 1933, in Bingham, IL, the son of Frederick Otto & Helen Alberta (Marty) Adermann. He was a retired farmer; served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict; member of VFW Post 3862, Vandalia, IL, American Legion Post #95, Ramsey Lions Club, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Agriculture Movement, and Ramsey School Board for 22 years; was former mayor of Ramsey, IL and former Trustee of Shafter Township.

Survived by: Special Friend - Marilyn VanUytven; Son - Kris Adermann & Mistie, all of Ramsey, IL; Daughters - Michelle Neely & Matthew, Springfield, IL, Becky Eddy & Bill, Ramsey, IL, and Paula Caylor, Mulberry Grove, IL; Grandchildren - Kristen, Kara, Kyle, Kolten, Kendell, Addison, Lillian, Shawna, Callie, Alexis, and Carson; 6 Great Grand Children; Sister - Betty Meyer, Ramsey, IL; Nieces whom he raised - Becky Bauerle & Pedo, Teresa Wyatt & Bob, and Bobbie Burdette.
