Jewell Louverne Manley, 95, of Ramsey, IL, died on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at her home in Ramsey, IL. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Christ Tabernacle Church in Herrick, IL with Pastor Tom Suey officiating. Burial will follow at Myers, in Herrick, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, December 17, 2012 at Christ Tabernacle Church, Herrick, IL and 1 hr before service at the Church on Tuesday. Memorials: Christ Tabernacle Church. She was born April 14, 1917, in Carson Township,IL. the Daughter of Silas Wright and Sallie Ann (Barnett) Carter. She married Ross Joseph Manley on October 25, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, he passed away March 22, 1971. Jewell was a farmer, a former reporter for Ramsey News Journal and a member of Christ Tabernacle Church , Herrick, IL She is survived by Daughters: Saundra Moore & Warren, Decatur, IL, Sallie Burrus & Joe Ed, Herrick, IL, Sherry Blankenship & Kenneth, Mt. Vernon, IL, Sheila Herbord & Rick, Ramsey, IL; Brother: Wade Carter, Pana, IL; Grandchildren: Christine Moore and Stacey Hoadley, both of Decatur, IL, Rocky Kramer, Herrick, IL, Kendra Soule, Bluford, IL, Kelly Rushing, Mt. Vernon, IL, Emily Herbord and Derek Herbord, both of Ramsey. IL and Megan Weddle, Pana, IL. Great Grandchildren: Amber, Sarah, Brandy, Austin, Taylor, Tyson, Brandon, Emma, Brent, Sean, Katie, Karli, Memphis and Ireland.
