Jerry R. Little, 71, of Hewitt, TX, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at his home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 04, 2013, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Loren File, officiating. Burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 03, 2013, and 1 hr. prior to the service on Saturday, both at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: American Heart Association and/or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He was born February 16, 1942, in Decatur, IL, the son of Russell H. Little & Doris M. (Anderson) Little. He married Karen J. Smith on June 16, 1962, in Vandalia, IL. Jerry was the Vice President at Van Tran Industries; a former employee of Johnson Stephen Shinkle Shoe Co., & Coca Cola Bottling Plant and Farmer. Jerry was an Army Reserve Veteran, a NASCAR fan and a member of First Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL. He is survived by: Wife: Karen, Hewitt, TX; Son: David Little, Vandalia, IL; Daughter: Debbie Smith & Ron Rauch Jr., Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren: Cory, Chelsea, Michael & Dusty. Great Grandchildren: Lizzy and Izaiah. Sisters: Helen Smith & Robert, Hagarstown , IL; and Judy Kaiser and Charles, Vandalia, IL. Preceded in death by: His Parents.
