James R. Adams "Jim", 70, of Ramsey, IL, died on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his daughters home in Greenville, IL. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, IL with Pastor Dave Trover officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, (2 hours before the service) Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Miller Funeral Home,Ramsey,IL. Memorials: Alzheimer's Association. Jim was born on April 10, 1942, in Ramsey, IL, the son of Leo Joseph and Hazel Irene (McDaniel) Adams. He married Mary A. (McNamara) on November 4, 1967 in Vandalia, IL. He was a retired Dispatcher for Conrail 20 yrs and a Correctional Officer 25 yrs. Jim was an Army veteran. He is survived by Wife: Mary Adams of Vandalia, IL; Daughters: Julie Hutchinson & Todd, Sorento, IL & Mary Childerson & Dwight, Greenville, IL; Brother: Steve Adams; Sisters: Cathleen Jefferies, Violet Cantril & Jane Flake; 4 Grandchildren: Tyler, Ryan, Katie & Benjamin. He was preceded in death by Parents, 3 Brothers: William, Joe & Larry and 1 Sister: Mary Etta.
