James W. Plummer, 88, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 28, at his home..

Services will be held at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St, Louis, MO.

He was born September 04, 1926, in East St. Louis, IL, the son of George & Viola Plummer. Jim married June Mae Sullivan in 1949, East St. Louis, IL, and later married Los Driver in 1961. Jim was employed with the American District Telegraph Security Company ,and later retired as the Colorado Regional Manager for over 15 years, affiliated with the Catholic Church, Masonic Lodge, Ainad Temple Shrine. James was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy receiving a Bronze Star while serving on the USS Fletcher, in the South Pacific Theater.

He is survived by: Son - James F. Plummer & Kathleen, Columbia, IL; Daughter- Janet Kaenrath & Jerry, Hebron, IN; 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren

Predeceased by his Parents, Wife Los(1981), Brother - Bernard Kelly, Sisters - Virginia Davis and Eileen Smith.
