James "Jim" E. Dew, 56, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at his home in Vandalia, IL.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Vandalia Moose Lodge following the burial. Memorials: Fayette County Health Dept. He was born July 5, 1963, in Johnston City, IL, the son of Brien & Linda Sue (Switzer) Dew. He worked as a carpet installer and welder; and was a member of Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447.

He is survived by: Sister - Connie Walton & Paul, Vandalia, IL; Nephew - Harry Christopher Walton & Megan; Nieces - Elissa Townsend & Seth and Johanna Purcell & Seth; and Great Nephews and Niece - Kaleb, Korbin and Brylee Walton and Henry and William Townsend.
