Iris Jean Rademacher, 93, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Brookstone Estates in Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 3, 2022, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, Illinois with Pastor Tom Goodell officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 3, 2022, at First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Evans Public Library, and/or First United Methodist Church, Vandalia, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. She was born September 11, 1928, in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Coral Hutton & Opal Lela (Harmon) Brooks. She married William "Bill" G. Rademacher on August 17, 1952, in Vandalia, IL, he passed away July 5, 2016. Iris retired from teaching after 20 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, former member of Evans Public Library Board & Fayette County SAFE, all of Vandalia, IL; Illinois Retired Teachers Association; and 1950 graduate of Blackburn College with a degree in education.

She is survived by: Sons - Stephen Rademacher & Barb, Imperial, MO and David Rademacher & Beth, Sandoval, IL; Daughter - Lea Ann Rubin & Bruce, Saint Peter, IL; Sister - Billye Staff, Carbondale, IL; 11 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; and Many Nephews & Nieces.

Preceded in death by: Her Parents; Husband; Sister - Betty Darling and Brothers-in-law - Don Darling and Rev. William "Beeb" Staff.
