Meseke, 94, of Ballwin, MO, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Chesterfield, MO Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, with Pastor Jerry Bagwell officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 A.M., 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the Church. Memorials: Holy Cross Lutheran Church Radio Ministry. She was born October 21, 1919, in Marion County, IL, daughter of Henry W. & Helena A. (Malchow) Beckmeier. Married Norman J. Meseke, April 28, 1940 in Shobonier, IL, he passed away May 31, 1984. She was a Sales Manager in Children Shoes; was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL. Lutheran Women's Missionary League, American Contract Bridge Association and Hospital Volunteer. She is survived by: Daughters - Phyllis Ewald, Ballwin, MO & Judith Earickson & Michael, St. Louis, MO; 11 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; Son - Dr. Ronald Meseke in 1993; 4 Brothers & 1 Grandchild.
