Henry Cole, 90, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023, at his home in Ramsey, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL, with Daniel "Boon" Carruthers and John Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Ramsey Cemetery, Ramsey, IL, with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, June 12, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL. Memorials: Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, Springfield, IL and/or Craig Cemetery. Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL, is in charge of arrangements. He was born July 23, 1932, in Montgomery County, IL, the son of Wayne Leon & Ruth (Broemser) Cole. He married Margaret Kay Jarvis on Friday, June 30, 1972, in Macomb, IL. He worked as a carpenter for Local 270 for 73 years; proudly served his country in the United States Navy, serving as a gunners mate on the USS Comstock LSD19; he was a member of Liberty Church and the Ramsey American Legion; was an avid gardener and hunter. Henry was a hugger and enjoyed playing jokes on his friends and family, and always had a joke ready to tell.

Survived by: Wife - Kay Cole, Ramsey, IL; Son - Michael Henry Cole & Michelle, Ramsey, IL; Daughters - Kathy Sims & Danny, Du Quoin, IL, Sheila Stewart & Jim, Murphysboro, IL, Linda Wilburn & Stan, Ramsey, IL, and Ruth Ann Cole, Ramsey, IL; 14 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great Grandchildren; Brother - Richard Cole, Ramsey, IL; Sisters - Geraldine Vancil, Hillsboro, IL, Norma Mosier & Gary, Kirksville, MO, Charlotte Stanton, Maddisonville, TN, Judy Glasford, Murphysboro, IL, and Sandra Hinkle, Salisbury, MO.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Daughter - Sherrie Haoq; and Infant Brothers - Darrel & Franklin Cole.
