Henry B. "Dutch" Metzdorff, 84, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia, IL. Services will be held at a later date. He was born August 20, 1929, in New Albin , IA, the son of Henry H. & Hazel L. (Haas) Metzdorff. Married Joan Ann Darling on March 12, 1947, New Albin, IA, she passed away February 27, 2007. He worked as a Machinist for CAT, Decatur, IL., was a Member of UAW & affiliated with Mother of Dolors Catholic Church. He is survived by: Son - Jerry Metzdorff & Barb, Shobonier, IL; Daughter - Jill Jones, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren - Paul Metzdorff & Allyson, Bloomington, IL, Margie Daniels & Mike, Shobonier, IL; Lisa Pryor, Patoka, and DeAnn Martin, Marshall, IL; Great Grandchildren - Isabella, Jackson & Cooper Metzdorff & 3 Step Great Grandchildren.
