Heather Marie Alton, 55, of Brownstown, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at her home in Brownstown, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 5, 2024, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Marlin Filer officiating. Burial will follow at Payne Cemetery, Rural Keyesport, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, July 5, 2024, at the funeral home. Memorials: Second Chance Animal Rescue and/or Bond County Humane Society. She was born July 2, 1969, in Greenville, IL, the daughter of Roy Mitchell Alton & Delores "Dee" Marie (Blunt) Filer. She worked at BBN Label & Screen, Inc., Vandalia, IL, was a member of the Vandalia High School class of 1987; and she loved animals.

She is survived by: Father - Roy Alton & Linda, Centralia, IL; Mother - Dee Filer & Lynn, Vandalia, IL; Son - Brice Alton, Brownstown, IL; Special Friend - Chris Yonts, Highland, IL; Brothers - Lucas Filer & Joetta Yarbrough, Vandalia, IL, Mitchell and Coy Alton, both of Centralia, IL; Grandchildren - Damien, Jude, Kayson, Camille, and one on the way.

Preceded in death by: Grandparents and Cousin - Joshua Heard.
