Hans Christian, age 49, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Hans was born December 5, 1976, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Nancy (Ray) Christian. He married Brandy Meyer on July 14, 2022 in Ramsey, IL. He worked the past couple years as a truck driver. Prior to that, he worked with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department. Hans was able to help others after his passing by being an organ donor. Hans was loved by so many! He was full of life and was the biggest kid at heart. He enjoyed family time more than anything - always smoking something on the smoker, hosting gatherings, and feeding everyone. He never knew a stranger. He loved to SXS ride, play golf, shoot pool, and collect sports cards. Hans loved his people hard. He was the best husband, father, and Grampy ever. He loved Maverick so much and was super excited to have baby Ellie joining our family in December. He was so selfless and would do anything for anyone at any time, no questions asked.
He is survived by his wife; Brandy Christian, his children; Landon Christian, Easton Maroon, and Bailey (Chandler) Boyd, his grandchildren; Maverick Boyd and Ellie Boyd, his sister, Theresa Stokes, his nephews and niece; Angela Stokes, Jeffrey (Hayley) Stokes, Jamie Stokes, and Jeremy Stokes, and several others as well as many great nieces and nephews; his second mom, Debbie Baldock, who became a mother figure to Hans after his mother passed away.
He is preceded in death by his mom, Nancy; his brother; Dale Evans, his sister; Tammy Christian, and grandparents; Russell and Madge Ray and Virginia Ross.
