Glendora G. Godbersen, 74, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL. She gained her wings and God took her halo she carried in her heart, placed it on her head and said, come home.
Services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Bethel Baptist Church, Rt. 185, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Joe Lawson and Dr. Ben Foxworth, officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Cemetery, Rural Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Thursday, November 21, 2019, 2 hours prior to the service at the church. Memorials: Second Chance Animal Rescue, Rural Vandalia, IL and/or Make a Wish. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Born March 6, 1945, in Oreana, IL, the daughter of Herbert Moss & Francis Georgine (Lambert)Thomas. Married Harold Jess Godbersen on June 25, 1967, Decatur, IL, he passed away November 29, 2000. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, rural Vandalia, IL; active in the community as a 4-H leader; crafts counselor at Rehoboth Church Camp; room mom; homemaker and finished her career working at Wal-Mart.
Survived by: Son - Tyson Godbersen & Jessica, Brownstown, IL; Daughters - DeAnna Clark & Roy, Vandalia, IL, Julie Waters & Greg, Hillsboro, IL, Beverly Quick & Randy, Shelbyville, IL; Grandchildren - Tiffany & Daniel, Justin, Tyler & Danielle, Dayin & Taylor, Matthew & Maddy, James, Braden, Dalton, Tommy, Nick, Megan, Trista and Kyle; Great Grandchildren - Cambree, Ryker, Amelia and Tinley; Brothers - Lynn Thomas & Doris, Brownstown, IL and Clint Thomas, St. Peter, IL; Sisters - Carol Bales, Colfax, IL and Loretta Meseke, St. Peter, IL.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Husband; Brothers - Dale, Gene, Dean and Delbert; Sisters - Florance, Shirley and Velma; and 1 Great Grand Child - Keeley.
