Obituary
Gerald Francis "Jerry" Lockart, 82, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at SBL Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Pinhook Cemetery, RFD Vandalia, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net.
He was born May 10, 1941, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Virgil Francis & Lela Caroline (Reed) Lockart. He married Keiko Takeda on March 22, 1965, in Toyoko, Japan. He was a Naval Electronic Instructor for 23 years; served his country in the United States Navy for 22 years; was a member of the Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447, American Legion Post #95, and the NRA.
He is survived by: Wife - Keiko Lockart; Son - Timothy Lockart; Grandson - Brandon Lockart, all of Vandalia, IL; Sister - Lois Rohlfing, Ventura, CA.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Daughter - Linda Lockart; Brothers - Roy and Mike Lockart; Sister - Dorothy.
