Gerald A. Brown, 78, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 17, 2020, at First Baptist Church of Ramsey, Ramsey, IL, with Pastors Steve Manning, Kyle Blackerby and Rodney Caswell, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Rural Ramsey, IL, with Military Rites by Anderson-Scroggins Post 460 American Legion, Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, February 16, 2020, at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Memorials: Mt. Born August 15, 1941, in Fayette County, IL, the son of Berthel "Buck" A. & Marianna (Wilson) Brown. Married Sharon Sue Hopwood February 17, 1962, in Fillmore, IL. He was a Farmer; former employee at Crane Packing and Fayette Co. Hospital maintenance department, Vandalia, IL; US Army Veteran; member of Catch the Fire Church, Cowden, IL; and former board member of Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Survived by: Wife - Sharon Brown, Ramsey, IL; Daughters - Ronda Brown & Jay Daffron, Mesquite, TX and Karla Morrison & Scott, Greenville, IL; Son - Rick Finley & Shelli, Herrick, IL; Brother - Jack Brown, Peoria, IL; Grandchildren - Kyle, Cody, Macey, Emily & Rebecca; and Great Grandchildren - Hunter, Brecklyn & Rhiannon.
