Gerald Robert "Bob" Wheat, 79, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL.

Bob was born on May 23, 1943, in Detroit, MI, the son of Robert Milton & Beulah Adabelle (Craig) Wheat. He worked at the family station in Ohio and Indiana before moving back to Illinois to be closer to his family. Bob enjoyed watching television, especially NASCARRacing.

Survived by: Siblings - Marla Carter & Doug, Ramsey, IL, Sandy Martin, Arkansas, Gary Wheat, Clinton, IL, Terri Novich & Lou and Tracy Plush & Gary, all of South Dakota, Tenna Durbin & Marlin, Kincaid, IL, Diane Beck, Hillsboro, IL, Robynn Cross & Ray and Jeanie Wheat, all of Ohio, Richard Wheat & Beth, Michigan; Several Children; and Many Nieces & Nephews.

Preceded in death by: His Parents; Brother - Dan Wheat; Sister - Carol Hasley; and Brothers-in-law - Charlie Beck and Frank Zeswalt.
