Obituary
George A. Work, 77, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016, in Vandalia, IL.
In keeping with his wishes, his body was cremated. There will be no service.
He was born November 20, 1938, in Witt, IL, the son of Ruby Bernice (Work) Horn. He married Deloris Sickles in 1978 in Vandalia, IL, she passed away. He worked on Utility Lines; was affiliated with Unity Baptist Church, Vandalia, IL and was a St. Louis Cardinals Fan.
He is survived by: Daughter - Catherine Downes, Centralia, IL; Brother - Charles Horn, Ramsey, IL; Sisters - Sandra Dorsey, Shelbyville, IL, Patty Horn, Casey, IL and Debra "Debbie" Baldock & Teddy, Ramsey, IL; 1 Grandson - Dustin Downes and several Nephews & Nieces.
Preceded in death by: Mother; Wife; Sister - Elaine Torbeck.
