Gary Lee Forbus, 77, of Fillmore, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at his home in Fillmore, IL.

He was born August 12, 1946, in Vandalia, IL, the son of George Henry Clinton & Pauline Wilma (Rhodes) Forbus. He married Letta Louise Stephens on October 26, 1968, Missouri. She passed away on June 26, 2022. He worked for the State of Illinois for 28 years; served his country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968 during the Vietnam Era and then in the Illinois National Guard; and was affiliated with the Bingham Baptist Church.

He is survived by: Sons - Aaron Forbus, Bingham, IL and Seth Forbus & Jhoanna, Fillmore, IL; Daughters - Melanie Forbus, St. Jacob, IL, Stephanie Forbus, Bingham, IL, Libby Forbus, Fillmore, IL, and Amy Rosenberger & Mike, Ramsey, IL; Brothers - Gregory Forbus & Sydney, Laurel, MS and Bruce Forbus, Wamac, IL; Sisters - Joan Langley & Robert, Vandalia, IL, Gloria Comper, Centralia, IL, and Yvonne Upton, Republic, Mo; 12 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren.
