Obituary
Gary R. Cothern, 70, of Ramsey, IL, died on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Fayette Co. Hospital, LTC in Vandalia, IL.
In keeping with Mr. Cothern's wishes there will be no visitation or service. Cremation Rites will be accorded. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, IL, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials: Crawford-Hale Post #95 American Legion, Vandalia, IL.
He was born February 28, 1945, in Pana, IL, the Son of Raymond Thomas and Tracy Loraine (Hawthorne) Cothern. He married Karen Ray Blackerby Cothern, November 16, 1963, in Ramsey, IL. Gary was a retired employee for Caterpillar for over 30 years, UAW and a member of Church of Christ, Herrick, IL .
He is survived by: Wife - Karen Cothern, Ramsey, IL; Son - Brent Cothern & Milene, Vandalia, IL; Sisters - Connie & Ralph Dodson and Carole Nunally, Sycamore, IL; Grandchildren - Megan & Tyler Westendorf and Haley Cothern; Great Grand Child - Hunter Westendorf.
Preceded in death by his Parents, and Step-Brother - Noel Brent Bolt
