Garey Lee Hodges, 83, of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Old Stonington Cemetery, Stonington, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the service time at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: Ramsey Fire Department First Responders. He was born January 29, 1941, in Moweaqua, IL, the son of Homer & Eulalia (Fuller) Hodges. He married Dena Caroline Peters on June 18, 2005, in Ramsey, IL. He retired from the Mueller Company after working at the foundry for 40 years, and then worked as a truck driver. Garey was an avid coon hunter, loved riding his horses, and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.

Survived by: Wife - Dena Hodges, Ramsey, IL; Daughters - Tamara Edwards, Ramsey, IL, Susan Vega, Clinton, IL, and Michelle Eddy & Shannon, Lafayette, LA; 7 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren, including Logan Edwards, his right-hand man; 1 Great Great Grandchild; Half-Brothers - Roger Williams, Morton, IL and Randy Williams, Somerset, KY; and his beloved dog, Roxi.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Daughter - Tina Barker; Brothers- Donald, Ronald, and Ray Hodges; Sister - Ruth Ann Scrimpsher.
