He was a WW II Army Veteran serving in the European Theater, a member of Parkview Free Methodist Church and Crawford-Hale Post # 95 American Legion both of Vandalia, IL He is survived by son:Tim Metzger & Rita, Vandalia, IL daughter: Gayna Montgomery & Kenny, Vandalia, IL. 7 Grandchildren: Tyler, Ashley, Jamie, Jeremy,Trevor, Nick and Kadi. 2 Great Grandchildren: Brody and Lucy.
