Services will be held at 12:00 PM, noon, Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL with Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, in Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, (2 hours before the service). Florene was born on June 6, 1925, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Julius Louis and Leona (Landauer) Shatz. She married Thomas Humphries Boaz on January 16, 1949 in Mayfield, KY. She was a Homemaker, an alumna of Mayfield High School, Mayfield, KY, member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, former member of Vandalia Country & Golf Club & Ole Hickory Country & Golf Club, Ft. Myers, FL. She is survived by Husband, Tom Boaz of Vandalia, IL; 2 Daughters: Ann Emerick, Vandalia, IL & Julie Morgan, Bonita Springs, FL ; 3 Grandchildren: Greg Emerick & Ede, Todd Emerick & Tracey and Jill Morgan; 3 Great Grandchildren: Zeke, Ella & Jayden. Preceded in death by Parents & Infant Son.
