Florence M. "Flossie" Tate, 78, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019, at Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Michael Mohr, officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia, IL and 1 hr prior to the service on Thursday. Memorials: The Family.

She was born March 3, 1940, in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Erich Edwin & Celena (Woijeck) Bombal. She was retired from Graham Packaging; a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Vandalia Woman of the Moose, all of Vandalia, IL.

She is survived by: Son - Rick Tate, Vandalia, IL; Daughter - Jackie Garrison & Dave Rochkes, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren - Ryan Tate & Therese, Vandalia, IL, Matthew Pryor & Paula, Vernon, IL, Courtney Locke & Chad, Belleville, TX, and Austin Garrison & Morgan, Vandalia, IL; Great Grandchildren - Sarah, Emily, Abby, Maggie, Lane and Bailey; and Special Friend, Charles Kruenegel, Shobonier, IL.

Preceded in death by: Parents; Brothers - Mike Bombal and Infant-Donald; and Sisters - Luella Leach and Anna Batty.
