Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 04, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home, Fillmore, IL with Rev. Ralph Ward officiating. Burial will be in Green-Hill Cemetery, in Rural Fillmore, IL with Military Rites. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Miller Funeral Home, Fillmore, IL with Masonic Rites at 7:00PM. Memorials: Green-Hill Cemetery, Rural Fillmore, IL. He was born on April 19, 1930, in Fillmore, IL, the son of John Henry and Clara Stella (Greenwood) Brackenbush. He married Shirley Dolores (Thacker) on December 17, 1955 in Vandalia, IL. Ercel served in the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is a former Dietary Manager for the Illinois Dept. of Corrections, Hillsboro, IL. He is a member of Van Burensburg Methodist Church; Crawford-Hale Post #95, Vandalia American, Vandalia, IL; Fillmore & Mulberry Grove Masonic Lodges; Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Southern Illinois, Belleville, IL; Ainad Temple Shrine, East St. Louis, IL; Knights Templer, Shelbyville, IL; South Fillmore Township Board & Precinct Committee Member; Taylorville Credit Union Board.
