Emma "Louise" L. O'Dell, 89, of Altamont, IL, formerly of Ramsey, IL, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014, at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont, IL. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 17, 2014, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in RFD Ramsey, IL, with the Rev. Gregg Shannon & Rev. Houston Jackson, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, in Rural Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, IL and 1 hr prior to the service on Monday at the church. Memorials: Mt. Carmel Baptist Church or Mt. Carmel Cemetery, both of Rural Ramsey and/or Donor's Choice. She was born on November 26, 1924, in Bingham, IL, the Daughter of Rev. Fred Edward "Ed" and Noy E. Rhoades Brown. She married Grover Cleveland O'Dell Jr., on March 29, 1942, in Ramsey, IL, he passed away February 16, 1999. She was a Homemaker, farmer's wife, a Cook for Ramsey Community Unit Schools, member of Home Extension & Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Rural Ramsey, IL. She enjoyed playing the piano, canning and embrodiery work. Louise loved her family, her Church family, playing the piano for Bayle City School Christmas program and visiting with people. She is survived by Son - Rev. Larry O'Dell & Pat, Ramsey, IL; Daughters - Carolyn Maske, Saint Peter, IL, Elaine McCormick, Vandalia, IL and Norma Kennett & Steve, Brownstown, IL; 7 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; Sister-in-laws - Norma O'Dell and Dorothy Holliday, both of California; Adaline Dowd, Indiana and Ethel Mince, Michigan; and Several Nephews & Nieces. Preceded in death by Parents; Husband; Son - Rick O'Dell; 2 Brothers - Nova Brown & Berthel Brown; and 1 Sister - Lorene Spires.
