Obituary
Edward W. Scribner, 68, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Union Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL with Father Seth Brown officiating. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net.
He was born July 19, 1953, in Vandalia, IL, the son of William & Beatrice Faye (Springman) Scribner. Married Barbara Jane Murray on April 27, 2002, Tennessee. He worked as an Airline Pilot for PSA Airlines; was a US Air Force Veteran; and was affiliated with the Catholic Faith.
He is survived by: Wife - Barbara Scribner, Vandalia, IL; Son - Jacque Scribner, Gainsville, FL; Daughter - Amanda Scribner, Gainsville, FL; Step-Son - Timothy Mahon & Brandi, Zanesville, OH; Grandchildren - Anthony Mahon & Alexandria and Ashley Mahon; Great Grandchildren - Cooper and Parker; Brother - Joe Scribner, Vandalia, IL; and Sisters - Helen Meyer, Springfield, IL and Margaret Basik & Len, Mokena, IL.
Preceded in death by: His Parents.
