Edward "Ed" C. Haas, 68, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at his home in Vandalia, IL.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL with Pastor Tom Goodell officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 10, 2022, prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials: First United Methodist Church, Fayette County Health Department, and/or Second Chance Animal Rescue, all of Vandalia, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. He was born June 1, 1954, in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Loraine Frank & Marcella Martha (Harpstrite) Haas. Ed married Cindy Lou Elliott in Vandalia, IL and have enjoyed 37 years of marriage. He was the Owner/Operator of Haas Roofing for many years - Father Founded; Member of First United Methodist Church, Vandalia Country and Golf Club, and Vandalia Lions Club, all of Vandalia, IL. Ed loved to fish in tournaments for bass and walleye; golfing; cars & car shows; his morning coffee group; Cavalier dogs, and all four-legged friends; traveling to Texas; making life-long friends; working in his yard, it was kept immaculate; and most of all spending time with his son and grandkids.

He is survived by: Wife - Cindy Haas, Vandalia, IL; Son - Chad Haas & Angela, St. Louis, MO; Step-Daughter - Stacy York, Texas; Sister - Bonnie Overton & Dennis, Altamont, IL; and 2 Grandchildren - Aubrey and Avrianne.

Preceded in death by: His Parents; and 1 Brother - Paul Haas.
