Dylan Wayne Shafer, 32, of Ramsey, IL passed away August 9, 2025.

He was born June 25, 1993 in Effingham, IL, the son of Tracy Shafer and Douglas (Patty) Shafer. Dylan was a mechanic, carpenter, welder, and there was nothing he couldn't fix. His little boy was his life, they were inseparable. He was a pool player and just enjoyed life. He loved fishing and hanging out with his friends.

He leaves behind his parents; fiancé, Hallie Finley-Shafer; his son who was his pride and joy, Liam Shafer; step-brother, Brandon Black; step-sister, Taylor Black; grandparents, Joyce Milligan and Connie Shafer; uncles, Randy Milligan Jr. and Benny (Jenni) Shafer; several cousins and several great aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa's, Randall Milligan Sr. and Ben Shafer Sr.; his great grandparents; and several great aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 15, 2025 at Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, IL with Pastor Bryan Williams officiating. Burial will follow Ramsey Cemetery in Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Liam Shafer Educational Fund which is set up at First National Bank.
