Dorothy Bernadine Largent, 95, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at SBL Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Loren File officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Rural Fillmore, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, January 14, 2022, 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials: Hagarstown Baptist Church, Hagarstown, IL. She was born October 12, 1926, in Irving, IL, the daughter of Melvin "Pappy" Orin & Leafa Guila (Shope) Stokes. Married Gerald Albert Largent on January 14, 1945, in Shafter, IL, he passed away February 28, 2012. She formerly worked at Johnson, Stephens, Shinkle Shoe Factory; Vandalia Community Schools Bus Driver and was a homemaker; and member of Hagarstown Baptist Church, Hagarstown, IL.

She is survived by: Sons - Gerald A. Largent & Vicky and Steve Largent & Jan, all of Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren - Amy Reeter & Friend, Dave Troxel, Jake Largent & Friend, Makinzee Smith, Sara Caldieraro & Keith and Tim Largent & Tracee; Great Grandchildren - Caitlyn Reeter, Ethan Largent, Conner Reeter and Macy Largent, Jase Largent, Jenner Largent, Nailah and Zailyn Farmer, Bailee and Tyler Caldieraro; Great Great Grandchildren - Kayden and Gunner Blankenship and Dominic Crumb; and Special Niece - Shirley Stokes.
