Dorothy A. Pope, 67, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at Anthony's Hospital, Effingham, IL.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 29, 2016, at Bethel Baptist Church, rural Vandalia, with Dr. Ben Foxworth and Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00am * before service* , Friday, July 29, 2016, at Bethel Baptist Church rural Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Fayette County Cancer Fund.
She was born, December 27, 1948, in Library, PA, the daughter of Walter & Antonia (Tosic) Kaminsky. Dorothy married John Richard Pope April 2, 1969 in Louisville, KY. He passed away. She was an Air Brush Artist, U.S. Army Vetran and member of Bethel Baptist Church, rural Vandalia, IL
She is survived by: Daughter - Jennifer Flowers & Tony, Vandalia, IL
Grandchildren - Kolton, Katelynn, Garrett & Cheyann; 6 Brothers - Joseph, Walter Jr "Butch", John, Stanley & Jim Kaminsky, PA and Robert Kaminsky, FL; 2 Sisters - JoAnn Jokie and Katherine Kaminsky, PA
Preceded in death by: parents and sister, Mary Markiewicz
