Louis Frick officiating. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery shortly before service time. Dorothy was a retired clerical assistant for United Cities Gas Co and one of the original telephone operator for IL Bell, both of Vandalia, IL She is survived by: Son: John E. Cole, Vandalia, IL; Daughter : Patricia "Pat" Benefiel and Jack, Bethalto, IL; 3 Sisters: Maxine Smith and Jesse, Edwardsville, IL, Glenda Lawler and Charles, Morton, IL, Jean Stombaugh, Vandalia, IL; 3 Grandchildren - Peggy, Karen & Cathi; 6 Great Grandchildren: Andrew, Ashlee, Cory, Brayden, Brenna & Kaylee and 1 Great Great Grandchild: Maddie .
