Donald E. Virden, 83, of Nokomis, IL, formerly of Ramsey, IL, died on Monday, June 08, 2015 at Nokomis Rehab & Health Care Ctr., Nokomis, IL.

Celebration of Life Service and Potluck Dinner will be held at 12 Noon, Sunday, October 11, 2015 at his home, RR 1 Box 165, Ramsey, IL. Miller Funeral Home in Ramsey, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.

He was born on December 10, 1931, in rural Ramsey, IL, the Son of William Edward and Hazel Leretta (Sauerweine) Virden. He married Viola May Card on February 14, 1958, in Ramsey, IL, she passed away July 31, 2009. He was a Retired Machine Operator @ Catapillar, Decatur, IL; a member of UAW; and a Korean Army Veteran.

He is survived by: Son - David Virden & Carlene, Mt. Zion, IL; Daughter - Vickie Depew & Robert, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren - Stephanie, Michael, Aron, Donald and Nick; Great Grandchildren - Hay-lee, Izac, Logan, Keegan, Huntley, Mason & Willow; and Sister - Melba Stephens, Assumption, IL.
