Donald "Don" T. Brown, 89, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017, in Springfield, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Rev. Randy Sands, officiating. Private Burial will follow at McInturff Cemetery, Rural Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: American Legion Post #95, Vandalia, IL; McInturff Cemetery and or Greenville College Scholarship Fund.

He was born July 21, 1928, in Schram City, IL, the son of David Arnold & Elvira May (Richardson) Brown. Married Pauline Mae Cunningham on May 26, 1951, Taylorville, IL. He was a retired Superintendent of Schools, at various schools in Illinois; a US Army Veteran and member of American Legion Post #95, Vandalia, IL and NRA.

He is survived by: Wife - Pauline Brown; Son - Ron Brown and Sherri, all of Vandalia, IL and Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: Parents; and 1 Sister - Bernice Osborne.
