Donald L. McMillan, 82, of Brownstown, Illinois, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Brownstown, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, with Rev. Bob Chase, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL, with Military Rites. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, April 27, 2015, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials: Second Chance Animal Rescue, Vandalia, IL and/or Lincolnland Hospice of Sarah Bush Lincoln, Effingham, IL. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements.

He was born December 13, 1932, in Loogootee, IL, the son of Herbert & Nellie Alberta (Swarm) McMillan. Married Rosemary Eller on September 28, 1980, St. Elmo, IL. He was a General Manager at Crane Packing; Member of VFW Post 3862 and American Legion Post #95, all of Vandalia, IL; and a Korean Conflict Airforce Veteran.

He is survived by: Wife - Rosemary McMillan, Brownstown, IL; Daughter - Deborah D. Boatman & Dale Jr., Salem, IL; Son - David McMillan, Salem, IL; Step Children - Mary Brown, Bingham, IL, Wes Donaldson, Fillmore, IL, and Jane Langston , Vandalia, IL; Brother - Alvin McMillan & Ann, Effingham, IL; Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
