Donald Lee Carlock, age 64 of Ramsey, IL, passed away on October 4, 2024, at SBL Fayette County Hospital ER, Vandalia, Illinois.

Donald loved the simple things in life: family, friends, his sweet tea, his chewing tobacco, westerns, crossword puzzles, embroidery, barbecues, and, of course, old country music would always light up his world. If you saw him without a dip in his mouth, or a tall glass of sweet tea, it was a rare occasion. Embedding the hearts of many throughout his life with love and happiness.

Donald leaves surviving, his loving wife of 32 years, Princess (Durbin) Carlock; Daughter, Kristina Scott and Son-in-law, James Scott, granddaughter, Stephine Scott and Grandsons, James Scott and Joshua Auton; Son, Joshua Shellenbarger and four grandkids of Granite City, IL; Daughter, Sue (Patrick) Dixson of Jackson, TN; Parents, Ralph and Nadine Carlock of Pana, IL; Brother, Steve (Marion) Carlock of Colorado and two Nieces and three Great Nieces; Brother, William (Tammy) Carlock and four Nephews of Herrick, IL, Sister, Cheryl Diggs of Shelbyville, IL and two Nieces and one Nephew; and several adopted kids that Donald loved as his own.

Donald may be gone but never forgotten. A loving husband, papa, father, son, friend, and uncle.
