He was born June 10, 1942, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Ralph Owen & Rosa L. (Ricke) Stewart.. Married Karin M. Hennings, December 26, 1975, Hillsboro, IL. He was a Farmer and the Road and town Commissioner for Shafter Twp.

He is survived by: Wife - Karin M. Stewart, Vandalia, IL; Sons - Russell Stewart & Julie, Stacy Stewart & Traci and Travis Stewart & Fianee, Bobbi Campbell, all Vandalia, IL; 7 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; Brothers - Hugh Stewart & Lovetta J., Bartonville, IL; Ralph Dale Stewart & Donna, and Alen Stewart, both of Vandalia, IL; Arley Stewart & Mary, OH; Sister - Sue Anderson, Bartonville, IL.
